Jeff Lynne Remastering New ELO Compilation

According to the Face The Music website, the first remastered ELO greatest hits compilation will be released all over the world in June. Compiled and remastered by Jeff Lynne and Jeff Magid, the 20-track CD will be released first in the UK on June 6 and in subsequent territories throughout the rest of the month.

The CD will be accompanied by a full color 12-page booklet featuring a photo history of ELO and Jeff Lynne from 1974 to 2001. Jeff has written 4-pages of exclusive sleeve notes for the release and gives a fascinating insight into what it took to create the songs and the sound of ELO over the years.

A 3D television ad campaign will help launch the CD. The 30 second ad will air initially on June 5 in the UK, including Channel 4, Midlands & Scotland, ITV, Scotland and Central, Channel 5 and across Sky Sports.

Also notable is that "other surprises" are promised throughout 2005-2006. Perhaps a new album? The long-rumored Idle Race boxset? A Traveling Wilburys DVD? More information to follow.
