I-80 is Iowa's only four-lane statewide east-west corridor at present. When complete, four-lane US 20 will provide a much needed relief valve for dangerous, overcrowded I-80. US 20 also connects on the east with four-lane US 151 in Wisconsin and US 20 in Illinois which is also in development as a four-lane. On the west, US 20 connects with I-29 as well as Nebraska 35 which is being developed as a four-lane. |
