~ Radiology ~

X-rays are a valuable tool for diagnosing a variety of diseases.  An x-ray allows us to evaluate things which would be difficult to pick up in a physical exam alone, such as organ abnormalities (ex: enlarged heart or spleen).  For breeding dogs, we are able to x-ray hips and elbows for certification from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).  X-rays are also helpful to us in confirming diagnoses such as broken limbs or teeth.

~ Dentistry ~

Dentistry is an important part of your pet's health.  Dental disease can lead to bad breath, swollen, bleeding gums, loose teeth, difficulty eating, and even more severe problems.  Here at St. Boni Pet Hospital we offer dental cleaning and dental x-rays to help avoid these problems.  By taking x-rays of the teeth, we can determine whether or not we may need to do any extractions.

~ Lab ~

When your pet is feeling ill, the convenience of quick answers through in-house lab work (blood work, urinalysis, x-rays, etc.) helps in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of disease.  Our pets age about seven years to our one.  Because of this, it is a good idea to have periodic lab work done.
