Army Lists: Select a 1650-point army from one of the army lists in the WECW rulebook (including all offical errata which can be found on this web site). No special characters. Each army must have a general, either a Major General or Colonel General from their army list If you purchase a veteran or elite unit, you must purchase a raw unit of a similar type and at least as large. (Montrose's Irish Brigade is exempt from this) For example, if you 'buy' two units of veteran gallopers, you must also get two units of raw gallopers New rules:
Forlorn Hope/ Commanded Shot/Dragoons: Forlorn Hope units and Commanded shot units can be no larger than your smallest sleeve of shot. Dragoon units may be no larger than your largest unit of horse. This is to limit the size and impact a skirmish unit can have on a game this size. Limiting the size of these units has been recommended by the WPS based on their experiences with WECW tournaments. Unlimited Shot: You cannot purchase unlimited gunpowder for your units except, the Scots Royalist army may purchase extra powder for one of their units (giving the unit 4 units of powder @ a cost of +4 points per model. Artillery/Petards/Grenadoes: Mortars, petards or grenadoes are not allowed in any army, these items were generally used for sieges. If we have a siege scenario the necessary siege equipment will be supplied. Cannon are allowed per the army lists restrictions. Terrain: All the terrain will be pre-set and is not to be moved by the players unless your are using Montrose Special Rule Scenarios: Each game will have the scenario specified. Make sure you read the scenario and double check the victory conditions. Prizes: We will have prizes for: participation, Captain (best) General and the coveted "Forlorn Hope" award.Errata: Make sure to check out the errata.
