Obituary:
Died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1965 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Allen Park. He was 65. He was born March 21, 1920 in Mayville. He served with the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving four Bronze Stars for bravery and the Purple Heart for wounds received in action. He married the former Helen T. Kreger, but she preceded him in death on March 2, 1980. He worked for Maiers Motor Freight Lines until his retirement. He was a member of Vassar's Arkinson Post 177 of the American Legion and Vassar Aerie 2380 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by one son, Dallas Bellamy of Fostoria; two step-sons, George and Gerald Fox of Mayville, two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Colosky of Mayville and Mrs. Sue Stevens of Fostoria; one step-daughter, Mrs. Elorise Alvares of Westland; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Bellamy of Vassar; two brothers, Ralph Bellamy of Mayville, Clare Bellamy of McKinley; one sister, Mrs. Eleanore Piazza of Vassar, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 pm today (Wednesday) Clark Funeral Home, Vassar with the Rev. Robert Grimshaw officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar.
