Loraine Smith wrote Apr. 10, 2002: Aunt Bertha (Berdie) Bublitz Meisler married Herman Meisler. I think they resided in River Rouge, Michigan. Before they built a beautiful new home at 13942 Terry St., Detroit 27, Michigan. They lived directly across the street from my Aunt Martha Elizabeth Bublitz Bishop of 13951 Terry St. This was most convenient for The Meislers because Uncle Will and Aunt Mart had a beautiful Oldsmobile and Uncle Herman and Aunt Berdie did not have a car as Uncle Herman was a cripple (one wooden leg) and for some reason never drove an auto. He took a street car to work and would frequently go out with Aunt Mart and Uncle Will. My Uncle Herman was related to Cora Greenwald and one of his nephews was Herman Kieffer, my 4th grade school teacher. They evidently were all from the Bay City, Michigan area. ![]()
