Sarah Ann Welsh

  General Notes:

In 1907 she was living in Junietta, Michigan, according to her mother's obituary.

Sarah was quite a character as was Fred. She has many descendents around here-her house is 1/2 mile from me and her grand son lives across the road from it. Sarah was married in the Methodist church in Elba, Nebraska, I believe, because it was part of the family story about how she told her brother, Fred, not to come unless he could get a suitable suit of clothes. Great grandpa either couldn't or wouldn't buy the clothes so instead of going to the wedding he captured Sarah's little dog and put turpentine on its bottom .. carried the dog to the church door and let it go.. the dog started to yelp and howl and dragged itself up to the bride at the alter. They didn't lead a boring life long which is why I know the story to this day. - Frederick Rodney Welsh April 2002
