"Aunt Teenie never married." - Nora Welsh Hammer

Obituary, Miss Clementine Svoboda -
Died at her home in Farwell on Tuesday, February 5th, Miss Clementine Svoboda.
She was the eldest sister of C. V. Svoboda, who lives just north of town. She was born in Moravia and came to this country with her parents, who settled at Schuyler in 1874. Three years later, she came to Howard County to live with her brother, C. V. Svoboda, on his farm northwest of Farwell. In 1889 she went to Omaha, where she lived for two years, returning to Farwell and making her home there with her mother. She was a dressmaker and took much pride in her work. Being a lady of good education and high intelligence, she was a general favorite with the young people o f Farwell and vicinity and they will particularly miss her, for her home was always open to them. She has been an invalid for the past six months with general functional derangements but the primary cause of her death was liver trouble.
She leaves an aged mother, a sister, Mrs. Fred Welsh of Elba and a brother, C. V. Svoboda of this place, to mourn her. Being a devout Catholic she will be buried with the full services of the church.
The funeral to be held from the Warsaw church on Sunday, February 10th at 11:00 o'clock a.m. Interment will be made beside her father in the cemetery near the Warsaw church.
The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their hour of sorrow. The Phonograph-Press wishes to join in words of condolence to the bereaved ones.
