2007 WARREN COUNTY CONSERVATION FARM FAMILY

Don & Harriet Ray represented Warren County and the 6 counties of Warren, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Hancock and Fulton Counties in the Association of Illinois Soil and Water Conservation Districts (AISWCD) Farm Family Award. They competed agaist seven other families from around the state.

Don and Harriet have a corn/soybeans farm and until recently, had a cow /calf operation.

The Ray's have installed terraces, basins, waterways, streambank stabilization, Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), filter Strips and uses no-till on their highly erodible acres.
