BCAD Custom Programing

Here at Benchmark we have taken a proactive approach to determine how to maximize the the utility of BuildersCAD in each of our customer locations. We have designed several programs from the ground up to meet and exceed the needs that were expressed and observed by extensive site visits and field work. Some of my program designs include the popular STACKER that automates everything from proper build order to panel setting in the field and the Benchmark PANEL MARKUP utility which has become a staple for all panel designers to instantly review and add custom notes and graphics to any or every wall panel elevation drawing. Sometimes a quick Macro is all that is needed to automate a particular repetitive task while other tasks call for a fully integrated program. We can take a simple idea for automation and turn it into a detailed specification that will quickly move you from concept to reality.

Below are listed some of the recent custom programs that Benchmark CAD has designed and provided to it's customers:

Automatic framing output to Virtek Laser projector to layout all Wall framing onto a squaring table eliminating the need for paperwork while transposing both framing and sheathing to precise locations.
Custom Component Reports for instant batch cutting and carting.
Angle boards are now identified with an * in all wall elevations.
Quick toggle to produce 2 sets of panel drawings, one with framing and cutting list and one with sheathing and cutting list.
Panel Markup Utility to eliminate all hand changes and markups to prints. This utility is made to easily place all notes, dimensions and graphics into electronic format that reside directly with the revised panel.
Direct output to the MANGO Saw system for automated cutting, plate layout and stud marking. This system incorporates a heads-up video monitor for panel viewing and cutting lists. Use the arrow keys to choose any board and the stops moves into position for rapid cutting and plate marking.
Floor Cassette program to produce instant shop drawings and cutting lists for automated cassette cutting and assembly.
Automatic framing output to Virtek Laser projector to layout all Floor Cassette framing onto a squaring table eliminating the need for paperwork while projecting floor framing to precise locations.
