Chapter Twenty-Five

Post-Adoption Euphoria

When the Towells checked their email upon their return to the United States, they downloaded the usual stuff which had been waiting.  Then they came to this in their Inbox — a post holiday message/update from none other than Wendy Stamper, BBAS’s “International Director.”

            Alysha and Brian,

Hope your family had a wonderful Christmas!  I wanted to see how you are doing?  We have not forgotten about you.   Denise told me she spoke with our attorney and he said he has not heard back from the reps reference your refund.  Also, he did call about your dossier awhile ago and the reps were supposed to have it transferred back for you.  I will continue to check on the status of the documents for you.

Please keep in touch!

Hope you have a Happy New Year!

Best Regards

Wendy Stamper

Incredible! Oleg and Elena’s second dossier was being transferred back? My! It had been found after only SIX MONTHS

And what were Brian and Alysha going to do with this newly-found dossier now that they had already completed the adoption of their children? If Denise had spoken with Richard J. Marco, Jr. about their refund, why hadn’t the Towells ever been contacted by either one of them?  Or even been sent a controlling, silencing agreement like had sent us? And why on earth have Incompetent Adoption Professional Wendy Stamper send this stupid message to them?

Again, the Towells have never received one red cent back — or an APOLOGY from Denise Hubbard or Amrex. For all we know, Amrex had sent Building Blocks the Towell’s refund and Denise kept it for herself, much like she did with our refund from Dennis Kaselak.

BBAS and Denise Hubbard haven’t changed in any way, shape or form since Cyril’s death. Shame on them.

But after Alysha stirred the pot in Blagoveshchensk, Tatyana became über adoption woman and Superfacilitator — improving her translations for the court, being super courteous to her Amrex clients — and most shockingly, the orphanage director, Ludmilla Ivanova, has told recent parents that she is actually receiving more than $250 from Tatyana for the children.

Adoptions continue to go well in Blagoveshchensk, but not for one BBAS family that traveled in March 2002 after Alysha.

In March, the Towells sent BBAS an email and attached a photo of their new children. They are thrilled to report that their children are thriving. It has taken time for them to meld together as a family (and yes, Tiffany shares her toys with her new sister).

The Towells are moving on with their lives and continuing to inform others about their experiences with BBAS, Amrex and Tatyana.
