Needle Sculptures

Dorit remembers making one of her first doll heads as a child out of a piece of lemon. From that humble beginning, she went on to create works of art that have won her acclaim, awards, and blue ribbons across her adopted home, the United States. Dorit originally worked as a beautician, then became a credit supervisor, before giving it all up to become a full-time doll maker in 1983 at the urging of her friends, family and fans. She is self-taught, and learned everything from trial and error, right from the beginning.
