Comments submitted by Kathleen Hays: ".......I really enjoyed the tape, and see that I have much practicing ahead of me. Sculpting of the head was exactly what I want to learn, especially the aged features of a person or to make characters. I really enjoyed seeing your dolls throughout the tape too. Beautiful!!.....I was absolutely taken with the video...."
Quoted by Antonette Cely: "......These two tapes contain nearly two-hundred and forty minutes of in-depth instruction available nowhere else." "......These two tapes provide probably the best, most detailed study of needle-sculpting ever filmed! If you've been frustrated by your attempts to create 3-D modeling in your cloth dolls, this set is a must!"
Comments submitted by Sandi Burgess, 3/00: "......"I am really impressed that you made this tape on your own! I really appreciate the effort you made to show everything close up. I own a rather large collection of instructional videos, and I find the ones that focus directly on the work and the artist's hands to be the most helpful. I feel that you used excellent judgment in deciding how far to go on film, and how much to do off camera; for me it was just the right amount to feel comfortable that I understood what you were doing, but not so much that I got bored. I can appreciate the difficulty in creating and speaking at the same time. I am glad I bought your tapes, and definitely feel that I got my money's worth "

Comments submitted by Sandi Burgess, 3/00: ".....It is evident that the styrofoam method is especially useful with smaller heads. I generally prefer to make dolls 14 inches tall at most and usually smaller. How many of us have ended up with globbed up balls of nylon trying to pull that off? I am particularly glad I bought all the tapes. It is the combination that gave me the overall feeling that I have learned as much as I can by watching. It was better than taking a 3-day intensive class because this way you get to stand right behind the teacher's shoulder the whole time (and the total cost was far less then a 3-day class)!....."
