Slam’n Jam'n Basketball Clinic

with the Shepherd Rams

Join us for this instructional clinic that will be instructed by Shepherd University Head Coach and Jefferson County native, Ken Tyler, and his staff and players.  This clinic for boys and girls is designed for beginner to intermediate basketball players.  Participants will enjoy a memorable morning learning new skills and tactics while refining their passing, dribbling, and shooting skills as well as providing individual fundamental instruction that is applied to the team concept.

Cheerleading Clinic

Girls ages 6-12 are invited to join us for this exciting clinic, which is geared for beginner to advanced cheerleaders.  Tamara Obendorfer, former Shepherd University cheerleading coach, will be directing this clinic with the help of her former cheerleaders.  Skills including jumps, tumbling, cheers, volume, dance, stunting, and other cheerleading techniques will be taught.  All participants should dress comfortably, wear tennis shoes, and no jewelry please.

Cougar Baseball Clinic

Jefferson High School Baseball Coach, John Lowery, will be directing this exciting clinic for boys and girls ages 7-12.  Coach Lowery, along with area coaches and players, will be instructing young players in the fundamentals of baseball as well as specialty and individual instruction in fielding and hitting.

Girls Volleyball Clinic

This clinic, directed by Shepherd University’s head volleyball coach, Sarah Smith, and her staff and players, is designed to meet the needs of female athletes entering grades 6-10.  Instruction will be tailored to the participant’s ability levels.  Professional instruction will be given in the basic skills such as serving, passing, setting, and blocking as well as in conditioning, strategy, and competitive games.

Co-Ed Youth Basketball League

Girls & Boys ages 9-14 are invited to join us  in this brand new league that will be held at the JCCC.  Our philosophy is “everyone plays.”  The objective of this program is to provide an opportunity for children to play basketball in an organized, competitive, yet recreational setting.  Our emphasis will be not only be to teach some basic skills and fundamentals but also to teach fair play, teamwork and sportsmanship.  Registration will be held on Saturday, December 9th. Games will be played on Saturdays.  League will begin in January. Call the JCPRC office at 728-3207 for more information and a registration packet.  We are looking for coaches...call for more information.

 

Homeschool Open Gym

This is a perfect opportunity for your homeschooler to get exercise and spend time with friends.  Our gym will be open for your student to shoot hoops, exercise and hang out.
