This informatio n was obtained from Ruth Kriesel great ganddaughter of Robert Brown, son of Andrew Brown, from the 1871 Canadian census Minnie Dixon was second wife of Robert Brown On 4 Sep 1997 Ruth Kriesel told John Alton Brown that Robert Brown worked for the Ontario goverment at Provincial Capital Bldg in Toronto, Ontario.

"Robert Brown worked at Ontario Parliament Bldgs. starting as messenger boy in 1905, later being in charge of corp. of page boys. Officially attached to legislative library came to Toronto from farm in Markham Twp. 1881(?) (see clipping). Robert Brown's first wife was supposed to have been an aunt of Minnie Dixon. Robert worked for Confectioner in Toronto - Watson's - before working at ParliamentBldg." Ruth Kriesel
