Image-ViewersBy John Vernooy Here are a couple of image-viewers for Windows that are low cost and work very well. One of them is free and is a lite version of that company's complete image-viewer, for Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000. The other is a shell enhancement for Windows 95, 98, and NT. You can use it to view a thumbnail picture of the image file when you right click on the file name in Windows Explorer. But that is not the limit of its capabilities. Eyebrowse LiteFirst the free one. If all you want to do is to be able to
view an image
file either in a window or full screen, zoom in zoom out, check the
properties of an image file, this one does it for free. All that you
have to
do is download it, install it, and register it. You only need to
register it so that the company that authors it can know how popular it
is. There is no
registration charge. It is totally free. The only cost is that you have
an
internet connection so that you can download it and register it. It is
called Eyebrowse Lite. You can get more information about Eyebrowse
Lite and download it at Shell PictureIf you want to do more than view an image file but you don't need an image editor, then Shell Picture will probably be more than enough. Shell Picture will allow you to right click on the file name in Windows Explorer, (the Windows file viewing utility, not Internet Explorer). You can open the image to view full size. Shell Picture can be used to view 31 image formats. You can use Shell Picture to convert an image to the following image types: Bitmap (*.BMP) While doing so you can choose the number of colors, 16, 256,
16 Million,
256-Greyscale, or Black and White, the name of the new file, whether or
not to resize, whether or not to create a log file, whether to
overwrite, skip,
or ask, whether to use fixed frame size, and if so your choice for
background color. You can use Shell Picture to print the image, print
preview is included. Shell Picture can be used to set an image as your
Windows background as tiled, centered, or stretched. I'm probably
overlooking some of the features of Shell Picture so click on the link
below and let the company that authors Shell Picture tell you more
about it. Shell Picture costs $29 US to register. You can download a
trial version of shell picture from BAxBEx Software at
