Many of the second year students have worked very hard this year designing and creating their pieces for this show. Here is some information about the designers and their designs.
Lily Ortiz
The Oscar de la Renta influenced girl, from Port Jervis High School, Lily Ortiz, has always had a flare for fashion. From dressing up Barbie dolls to drawing her own with clothes on, fashion art has always had a spot in Lily’s life. Lily’s creative personality has helped her to glide through with what she aspires to do as a living, fashion design. Lily ends with “This experience preparing for the fashion show has been an amazing journey with such a pleasant destination.”
Dana Shirley
Dana is a girl who depends on herself. She enjoys challenges because they make her work harder. Dana is a very open person especially when it comes to new places and trying new foods. In addition Dana believes in being positive and never giving up. Dana will be remembered by her peers because of her fun and outgoing personality. As Dana says “everything happens for a reason.”
Alexa Arlequin
Alexa’s vibrant and lively personality was sparked by fashion illustrating and all the different kind of trends. She is known for her unique laughter that brightens up the room whenever she lets it out. Even though Alexa isn’t up for difficult challenges, she always likes new experiences and new surroundings. Alexa’s vibrant and lively attitude helps her get along with other people and makes it easier for her to make new friends.
Dayna Christison
Dayna Christison is a fun loving girl, and a hard worker. She enjoys new experiences and feels like it opens up new oportunties for her. She was first interested in fashion as a little girl by designing outfits in crazy colors which may have sparked her admiration for top designer Betsey Johnson. Throughout her whole CTEC experience, Dayna has realized she is more interested in becoming a fashion merchandiser and hopes to voice her opinions to contribute to the fashion world.
