GEO BEE!
For the first
time ever in the Junior High School, students participated in the National
Geographic Geo Bee. Fifteen students competed in the preliminary round, and
then the top ten went into the finals. Casey McKee won first place with this
question, “What is the official language of Syria?” (Arabic)
Next step the state competition!
NEW SEMESTER!
In February we began a new semester. Most of the classes, except World
of Water, are continuing, although at different time slots. Traditional Photography will return to the
schedule. If you want to join any of the classes, you will need to speak
to your guidance counselor as soon as possible.
MORE RECENT EVENTS!

- Les Miserables: Drama Class students have been participating
in the "Les Miz Project". This included a day time workshop and an evening
performance of the Broadway musical on February 24, 2004.

them.
- The Science
Olympiad Team competed in the Regional Competition on February 14th at
St. John Fisher College. For the first time, we were entered in
all the required events. The medal winners included:
- Storm the Castle - 1st place for Robert Bohn and Joe Bumpus
- Naked Egg Drop - 2nd place for Adam Megherhi and Robert Bohn
- Write It/ Do It - 2nd Place for Kevin Hart and Matt Haefele
- Road Scholar - 3rd Place for Sean Toomey and Sean Kearney
- Meteorology - 4th Place for Sean Kearney and Kevin Hart
All Team Victor members are to be congratulated
for a great competition! This is our best performance ever.
COMING EVENTS!
- The Great Photography Exhibition will return for the second
year in April 2004. Photos and essays from the SNAP project will
be displayed, as well as outstanding work from the Digital and Traditional
Photography classes. The public is invited!
- Watch for our first Dinner Theatre, sponsored by the Drama Enrichment
Program. It will probably take place in May.
