Winding the Crystal Set Coil
First wind the coil using the instructions in this video:
The primary winding has 15 turns. The secondary winding has 43 turns.
A drop of hot glue where the last turn leaves the coil form will help hold things in place.
After the coil is wound you will need to trim the leads and remove the insulation.
Cut the lead that you did not tape to the coil form so that it is 7 inches long.
Cut the last lead that you taped to the coil form so that it is 6 inches long.
Cut the next lead that you taped to the coil form so that it is 7 inches long.
Cut the first lead that you taped to the coil form so that it is 7 inches long.
Remove 1 inch of insulation from the end of each of the 4 wires with sandpaper using the technique in the following video:
Here's the schematic diagram for the crystal set. L1 is the primary winding. L2 is the secondary winding.
