"Nathaniel Robinson Esq. was deacon of the Baptist Church, held various town offices of trust and was a member of the State Legislature from 1778 to 1780."
"He was an active member of the constitutional conventions, including the one held at Windsor, VT June 7 1777, which adopted the Declaration of Independence of Vermont."
" In 1778 the first county on the east side of Vermont was established and given the name of Cumberland with two shire towns, Westminister and Newbury. Nathaniel IV was voted in by the General Assembly as one of the judges in special courts held at Westminister, VT."
"He received a vote of thanks for his valuable services at the time of the massacre at Westminister March 13, 1775."
He came to Westminister about 1772 and was buried in the old graveyard near Eatonplace, his home."
