The Rochester Roleplaying Resource (R3) is intended to be a central clearing house and reference point for information on all things roleplaying-related in the Rochester region and western New York. It is divided into the following sections, accessible via the links at the left side of each page:

What Is Roleplaying?

Roleplaying is still, though not nearly as much so as twenty years ago, perhaps the most misunderstood and undeservedly-maligned hobby in existence. This section is meant to be a simple, straightforward explanation of what roleplaying is, and, more importantly, what it is not. Useful reading for beginners in the hobby, for concerned parents, and for anyone else unclear about what role- playing games are all about.

Rochester Area Gaming

This section lists gaming clubs and organizations, game conventions and events, game retailers, and other information of interest to roleplaying gamers in the Rochester metro area and western New York. Links are provided when available.

Gaming Resources

Links to gaming-related Web sites, game companies, national and international gaming organizations, and other useful information.
