A guitarist since the age of 12. Main
influence George Harrison and the rest of the BEATLES. Although 50’s / 60’s
/ 70’s and the British Invasion bands have also made a big impact his
playing style. (The early Doo Wop bands, The Rolling Stones, Byrds, Animals,
Kinks etc.)
The early 60's Garage Band music like “Louie Louie”
and “Gloria” evolved to more intricate pop songs (Cream, Rascals, Hendricks, Motown ...) by 1968. Between 68 and 70 it was trendy to arrange
Motown Hits with a Psycodelic twist. It was the Vanilla Fudge style.
Bands from 1966 - 1971 : "4Bidden" and "The Pace".
"The Pace" was a working band, playing four to five nights a week at Rochester Clubs and Dance venues.
On several occasions they were the opening act for National Acts. The band ended when members either entered the military
(the US military conflict that occurred in Vietnam) or went to college.
Bands in the 80's : "Stride" and "Rubber Soul"
Ted recalls "Stride" “This was the tightest group I ever played with, our harmonies
were spot on, we were not only band mates, we were best friends."
Family, Career and travel put music on the back burner during the 90’s. But that passion for playing music was always near by.
" I'm grateful that “Guitars at Noon” came along when it did, and that it led to the formation of “Grey Fox Lane”."
