Welcome to "Grey Fox Lane" Web site!Grey Fox Lane is a Rochester NY based “ Classic Rock Band”. The band started out as a lunch time gathering of Kodak employees who had common interests in music and were looking for a way to get some “stress relief” during a time of corporate downsizing and resulting with work load increases. “It gave us some time to be someone else and have some fun for an hour once a week”. The original members consisted of Jim—Guitar and vocals, James—Mandolin and vocals, and Norbert—Bass and vocals. One day during a hallway conversation, Jim was talking with Ted about music and said ”you play guitar don’t you?” And invited him to join in on the weekly lunch time jam session. We called ourselves “Guitars at Noon”. The jam sessions song list consisting of Folk, 50’s - 80’s Rock and British music started to grow. Acoustic Guitars soon went electric (some nice vintage equipment). Then a make shift PA system appeared one day, and a little drum machine on another. The song list became too long and an hour just wasn’t enough time, so the sessions were scheduled after working hours. As the downsizing continued at Kodak James and Norbert were forced to seek employment elsewhere and Norbert relocated to another city. Norbert’s replacement was Jerry—Bass and vocal. “We got lucky there was no interruption with the weekly jam” Jerry ran into an acquaintance at Wegman’s (a local supermarket) who played drums. Bob stopped by one afternoon with his drums to jam. It was a great jam—in fact Bob left his drums set up. “we all passed the audition” and “Grey Fox Lane” was born. In the Spring of 2011 Jerry announced that he was leaving GFL due Family Commitments. In the Spring of 2012 Sean announced that he was leaving GFL to move to Florida. Our goal “to perform familiar songs you can sing along with”. Contact Us at greyfoxlane@gmail.com
