From a letter by Ken Riness: "My dad...moved a lot, I think a total of 30 times in his life. He was a miner, logger, farmer, barber, twonship reeve and preacher/pastor of an undenominational church. My dad at age 17 left Vassar Michigan with grandfather Charles to claim and clear acreage in Northern Ontario in the early 30's."
