Mike Rink—W2HYP and Jim Stefano—W2COP met when they were kids back in the 60’s and have been licensed since the early 70’s. Each have homes in Livingston County and work in Monroe County in their second full-time careers, where Mike is the Electrical Supervisor for Strong Memorial Hospital at the U of R; and Jim is the Systems Administrator for Electrical Engineering at RIT. Together they built and maintain the current 145.11 Repeater System on Bristol Mountain. They also built and maintain several other area repeaters and Radio/IP gateways in the Rochester and surrounding area. |
