Robert Lawson, the Principal of Dowdell Middle Magnet School, is a twenty year veteran of education. He was employed by the Hillsborough School System in 1981 as a technology education teacher at Van Buren and remained there until 1994 before being appointed assistant principal at Wilson Middle School. He remained at Wilson until 1996 when he was appointed assistant principal at Burnett Middle School. Mr. Lawson attended grade school in the Hinds County Public Schools System in Raymond, Mississippi; received a bachelors degree from Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi; and earned a masters degree in Educational Leadership from Nova University. |
