Home and Grounds

The Home in the Pines Bed and Breakfast was first built in 1905 by Peder Erickson. He was an owner of the store now known as the Duquette General Store, which is also operated by your hosts. The Erickson family owned the home until 1990.

The home was rebuilt and enlarged during 1990-94 to provide our guests with fine surroundings. The bedrooms have been carefully decorated for your enjoyment. The spacious grounds allow ample secluded parking and feature a picnic "gazebo" suitable for family gatherings.

The large lawn area of the five acre site may be used for bocce ball, croquet, badminton, or horseshoe games. You may wish to walk through the pine grove or into the adjacent Jackie Berger Memorial Park, which has a tennis court, softball diamond, and campsites along the Willow River. For groups where some wish to camp and some desire a Bed and Breakfast, we are ideally located.

The Balcony Bedroom decor has a garden motif, French doors to the balcony, and a bath with a two person steam shower.

The North Woods Room has a lodge decor with a queen bed, a ballfoot bathtub, and pedestal sink.
