INTASC Standard #1: The teacher understands the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the discipline(s) he or she teachers and can create learning experiences that make these aspects of subject matter meaningful for students. Here is a Unit Plan I did during my Field Block II placement. It was designed for a first grade classroom. In this lesson I covered many different aspects of healthy living. I used various ways to teach the lessons. The students and I had fun doing the activities.
