A Place to Pull Over

Reference Links

  • National Weather Service Mosaic Weather Radar Loop
A nice large US map with looping radar images.  Loop refreshes every 10 minutes
  • Snopes
For those of you who aren't already familiar with snopes.com, we recommend that you refer to this site prior to forwarding any chain e-mails -- especially to us.  The best urban legend validation/debunking site around
  • SeeqPod
A pretty neat search engine that locates & plays music & video

Entertainment Links

Games

  • Future Pinball - Picks up where Virtual Pinball left off.  Awesome.
  • Digital Press Easter Eggs -  Classic arcade game trivia & cheats
  • ROM-World - For all your emulator ROM needs, assuming you own the ROM chips
  • MAME32 - There might be better arcade emulators out there, but I've enjoyed this one for years

Music, Movies & TV

Blog Links

  • Buzz.mn - The Minneapolis/St. Paul StarTribune's blog, moderated by my favorite writer, James Lileks.  I highly recommend spending several hours navigating through his lileks.com website too.  Great stuff
  • Dark Roasted Blend -  Fascinating links
  • I'm Learning To Share! - Same as above, except with a vintage pop culture theme
  • Found Magazine - From love notes to weird to-do lists, this site posts things viewers find and submit daily.  More entertaining than you'd think

Links

Choosing which links to share is not an easy task.  There's no point in providing links to the obvious ones we use all the time (Google, Wikipedia, etc.) since most of you have them bookmarked already, but we didn't want to link to sites that are too obscure (or embarrassing) either.  If nothing else, these links might provide more insight about us that may not have been evident elsewhere.
