Lieutenant Dugald Campbell, b. 1757 in Scotland, a descendant of the Campbells of Argyle. He was a surveyor and compiled the first map of Fredericton. He surveyed the grants given the 42nd Highlanders along the Nashwaak from Taymouth to the mouth of Cross Creek Stream. he had lots on both the Tay River and the St. John River. He married Jacobina Drummond, daughter of Donald Drummond and Ann Grosbeck. He died at Fredericton April 12, 1810 and he and his two daughters are buried at Fredericton.
