About Me

I grew up on a small dairy farm east of Cromwell. After graduating from high school I entered the Army National Guard and served for seven years. My adult life has been centered around raising four daughters on a dairy and beef farm northeast of Tamarack. I will continue with the beef operation, having passed the dairy on to my oldest daughter and her husband in 2005. For the past 15 years, I have also been driving school bus for the Cromwell-Wright school district. My education includes a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics from UMD in 1977. For attending classes offered by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, I have been certified as an electric cooperative director. Altogether I have over 31 years of experience serving on a variety of local, regional, and state cooperative boards, including 15 years on Lake Country Power’s board and seven years with LCP’s power supplier, Great River Energy.

When I'm not in the boardroom or out in the fields, I enjoy spending time with my family, riding my motorcycle, and drumming with a local band.
