For 24 years I operated Diamond Willow Dairy on two farms in the Wright-Tamarack area, seasonally milking 45 cows in a pasture-based set-up. In 2006, my daughter and her husband took over the dairy operation. With my retirement from dairy, I am now focusing on the cow-calf beef herd I began building eighteen years ago.
One hundred Angus-Hereford cows and their calves now graze the fields of my two farms. Land not in pasture is used to grow grass hay and corn silage for winter feeding.
