INTASC Standard #9: The teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually evaluates the effects of his/her
choices and actions on others (students, parents, and other professionals in the learning community) and who
actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally. Reflecting on my lessons and gaining feedback from others is one of the best ways to improve my lessons. During my Field Block II placement I did a lesson on exercise that included making an exercise video. The video and lesson went well, but if I were to do it again there are some changes that I would definitely make. Click Here to see my lesson plan for the video Click Here to see my reflection on that lesson In both of my field block placements and at
the end of the day during my students teaching placements, I met with my
supervisors or cooperating teachers to discuss and reflect on my lessons.
Now reflecting on my day has become a habit. It is a very helpful habit! |
