Kevin's home parish is St. Michael's in Pine Island, MN. He and his wife, Linda, have three grown children, Heidi, Michael and Brian. Kevin is the collision center manager at Jeff Belzer's Chev-Dodge-Kia in Lakeville, MN.

His hobbies include hunting, farming, fishing and building customized cribbage boards and pegs. His favorite books are "Abandonment to Divine Providence" by Father Jean-Pierre de Caussade and "Hinds' Feet on High Places" by Hannah Hurnard. His favorite scripture verse is Jeremiah 1:8.

Internships include Ramsey County Social Service Center and Ramsey County Adult Detention Center, St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul and consolation ministry with The Catholic Cemeteries.

Kevin heard the call to become a deacon while driving to work one morning. Not knowing anything about the diaconate, he prayed that if this was for real to give him an outward sign. A couple of days later, while playing cribbage with a friend, then seminarian, now Father--Stephen Hoffman, told Kevin that his name had come up in a recent "Called by God" program, that he should consider becoming a deacon. God had answered his test so now Kevin would answer His call... five years later, on September 25, 2010 Kevin was ordained to the deaconate at the Cathedral of St. Paul.
