|Mass to Honor Graduating Seniors|
|The Mass to honor our graduating seniors is on Sunday, April 27th at 8:30am followed by the Commencement Breakfast for graduating seniors and their parents. Grade 11 students and parents are to help prepare and serve the breakfast. Practice for the Mass will be at 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 23rd.|
|Youth Group Meetings|
|There will be no youth group on Wednesday, April 23rd or 30th.|
|VIRTUS Training Session|
|There will be a VIRTUS training session at St. Pius V in the lower level on Tuesday, June 10th at 6:30pm. Any adult who works with or volunteers for activities with children or vulnerable adults is required by the Archdiocese to attend a VIRTUS session. If you plan on helping with VBS this summer or want to volunteer for the Camp Victory Lock-in and have not yet attended a training session please sign up. Registration is online at www.virtus.org. Click on registration in left column and follow the prompts.|
|Camp Victory Lock-In 2014
for Youth Entering Grades 6-12
in the Fall of 2014
|The youth of St. Pius V, St. Joseph, St. Mathias, St. Mary and St. John the Baptist are invited to a lock-in at Camp Victory in Zumbro Falls, MN. The camp is 200 acres of forested, rolling hills along the Zumbro River. The camp will provide transportation by bus from St. Pius V at 6:30pm on Friday, June 20th and will return to St. Pius V at 6:30am on Saturday, June 21st. The cost is $30 per youth if registered by May 15th, $35 if registered by May 31st and $40 for registrations received after the 31st. Please make checks out to the youth's home parish. All registrations are due by June 7th. Please give your registration and fee to Cindy Meyers (or your Associate for Youth Ministry) or drop at your parish office. |Last Class Schedule|
|The last Faith Formation class for this year is on Wednesday, April 30th. Grades 6-10 will meet at the cemetery at 5:15pm to rake and clean up. Bring your own rakes and gloves. Then at 6:45pm will go back to church for Mass. Preschool-grade 5 will meet at their usual time from 6:00-7:00pm and then go upstairs for Mass. The Mass begins at 7:00pm and is the celebration of the feast day of our patron saint, Saint Pius V.|
|Grade 2 students are to participate in the Holy Thursday Mass on April 17th. The service begins at 7:00pm.
The Confirmation Sending Mass for grade 10 has changed from May 3rd to May 11th at 8:30am.
The Mass honoring graduating seniors has changed from May 10th to April 27th at 8:30am followed by the Commencement Breakfast in the lower level for grade 12 students and parents. Grade 11 students and parents plan, prepare and serve breakfast.
|Discipleship Week 2014
For Catholic Teens Ages 13-18
|What is D-Week? "If you are ready to ignite your Catholic faith, personally experience the power and presence of our great God, and discover the mission and purpose for which you are created, then D-Week is for you!"
D-Week is lead by the NET Team members, along with other outstanding leaders, musicians, and speakers. This team leads dynamic sessions which include praise and worship, relevant talks, free time, small group time, fun activities, and so much more.
D-Week is June 16-19 at the NET Center in W St. Paul. The cost is $200 per student. Go to www.netusa.org/d-week for more information and to register. Registrations are due by Friday, May 16th.
|Steubenville Youth Conference will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN, July 11th-13th, 2014. The Youth Conference is an invitation to spiritual growth and about developing the gifts given at Baptism and sealed at Confirmation. Dynamic speakers instruct and challenge teens in prayer, chastity, service and the power of the Sacraments. The cost is $155 per person.
