One way you can help our local Habitat Chapter is by donating your time. You don't have to be an expert carpenter, plumber, or electrician. Each Project is supervised and guided by expert builders who oversee every aspect of the job. There are a variety of projects you can do, if you are willing. Remember the proverb, "Many hands make light work".

Above are some volunteers readying the ground for a foundation to be poured.
The following are some current and upcoming projects of local houses to be built. If you wish to participate or have any questions feel free to call us at 912-489-2076, Monday Through Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
We've
just completed house #9 and #10!! The dedication ceremony
for those homes was held on June 17, 1999.

First Baptist Church of Statesboro was the
first church on Statesboro to build a home (home #6). The church
has made th commitment for a second home and plan to start
construction as soon as plans are finalized.
Pittman
Park Methodist Church is fundraising for a home which will
be built by the church when they reach their fundraising goal. If
you are interested in helping with this project contact Howard
Picard, 489-5562.
Georgia
Southern and Ogeechee Tech
have agreed to fund and build a home which will become an annual
project. Students from both institutions will be fundraising
during Fall semester each year and build the home during the
Spring semester.
Walmart distribution center and the Walmart
Supercenter have committed to building a home. Fundraising will
proceed this year and construction is exopected to begin the Fall
of 2000.
First
Methodist Church of Statesboro has committed to to building a
home. they are currently raising funds and expect construction to
begin next Fall.
